Olga Isabel Medina 

Olga Isabel Medina is an Electric Guitarist from Colombia. She is currently the Electric Guitar Professor at the University of Caldas in Manizales, Colombia. She studied a Master's Degree in London, England. Her musical career began at the age of 16 after realizing Medical School was not ‘her thing’.

She also plays ‘Bandola’, a typical Colombian instrument. She was part of the Instrumental String Quartet ‘Signa’ which participated in the two most important Colombian music festivals in her native country: ‘Festival Nacional del Pasillo’ and ‘Festival Mono Núñez’.

 

She is the current lead guitarist of the Polish Metal Band "Wizzard Dream", and she has been part of several Rock Bands as the lead guitarist and backing vocals singer, and was co-funder of the female Rock Band ‘The RoWings’, very recognized in her home country.

In June 2014 she participated in Sibelius Fest, a festival that takes place in Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela; granting her second place for her amazing and outstanding performance among many other guitarists.
